Description
Like always, fullview recommended.Impactpraccy, hard stuff. :/ Might return to this when I get my computer updated, saving the original file makes my current computer to vomit blood and scream in terror. (since itΒ΄s 2000x2000pixels with approx 50 layers, wich is a little more than I usually do. And my computer sucks.)
Still has itΒ΄s flaws, I know, so no need for heavy crits, thanks. And hopefully enjoy

Apophysis-material is my own.

I don't really know why, but somehow the debris are the only part in the picture looking a little strange.
The rest ist excellent.
Also, since noone ever saw a collision of planets, my guess would still be that in such a case, where a relatively small planet crashes into a relatively large one, the small planet would get cracks, like an egg and the big planet would have shockwaves scrambling the solid surface and making the lava come out.
These versions, where two spheres just collide indicated by the brightness between them while staying intact just dont't seem verry realistic to me. Still looking great.

Yep, still in progress, Need to fix the asteroids a little and get some more interaction with the impact.

Thats amazing. As usual.
I wonder what's the meaning of the title though. What were you thinking of?

The fact that I canΒ΄t never do this scene perfectly. Also, Enochian crescent has a song called The imperfect vision, I was listening to their latest album while making this.

Now that's what I call a collision. Nicely done bro!
(Add some smaller chunks too though.)

Yeah, thanks for the feedback, took it into consideration before going insane with the asteroids on the wallpaperversion.

what pridna said... That is really cool. I love the effects you used to make it really feel like that planet is about to become dust.

Well first I think the composition should be longer. Like a landscape size, (wallpaper even). It begs to be longer in the left direction. It just doesnt seem to be working as a square. Second, the impact rocks are too large, you should make a huge range of sizes. Copy paste it a million times really small or something. I would also like to see some cracks forming on the surface of both planets.
You have a really good thing going here and it could definately be improved. I would keep working on it.

HereΒ΄s a little remixed WP:

With the stocks used I mean that I used some resources from other artists on the pic. The planets, stars, and the asteroids are not created by me, theyΒ΄re works of people I credited, theyΒ΄re sharing some stuff for all to use and abuse. The light & some stuff on the space are my own creations using a program called Apophysis. Then brought all together in Photoshop.

CanΒ΄t render anymore skeletons still, Poser went ballistic again. :/ But will continue as soon as I get stuff fixed. And yea, IΒ΄m upgrading the rig as soon as my new motherboard gets here, itΒ΄s been sold out for a week or two now, waiting for the importer to get more of them.

Great job, except for the chunks flying off... they're way too big and not very randomly spaced. I dunno

Yeah, need to redo parts of it as soon as I get the new rig together. Has potential I suppose, shame that it kills the computer when I do anything to the file.
