Yeah, I got my mythologies royally mixed up, was too late to change anything though, felt too lazy, so had to let it slide. Nice to hear you liked anyway.

Hehe, yeah, a bit. Hmm, and not a bad idea for a manipulation either.

with the trident and him by the sea he looks more like Neptune.

Yeah, could have been either one. Even though with neptune/poseidon I would have added a little something to the whole thing, maybe some seaweed & stuff like that, to imply that he rose from the water.

Yeah, could have been a number of deitys, many of them are portrayed with the classic oldman&beard approach. Nice to hear you liked.

Yeah, it's a great pic!
I wonder who started that old bearded trend... These days these men have become the Dumbledores and the Gandalphes by the way. More shaman/wizards than divine kings. And to me Odin and Jahwe (or perhaps more Abraham than Jahwe) have always seemed more like that, and perhaps Izanagi too, while Zeus and Amon have appeared more like warriors and later executives.

Hehe, could have been a number of the greek gods, and other gods for that matter, the old man with beard approach is not that original.

Although the trident is rather Poseidon's symbol...
the bolt of lightning is Zeus trademark..

Yeah, this could have been either one of them. I was thinking of zeus while making it, and didnΒ΄t remember that poseidon used a trident, untill it was too late to change it. So ended up rather confusing. But still, as an image itΒ΄s still decent enough for my eyes.

Haha, yeah, I was thinking of both while making it, and thought of submitting the whole thing as one of the untitled pieces I have tons. Ended up naming it for some reason though.
