Another entry in my new sketchbook done with inks. I wanted to try a monotone picture with just ink balancing it with the two of the coolest anime noir gunmen. I chose these two to have dark interior/light exterior and vice versa on the other. They also happen to both be voiced by master voice actor Richard Epcar!Did not watch the original Ghost in the Shell (Anime) movie until recently but often caught Stand Alone Complex episodes on Adult Swim. Batou and Togusa were my favorite character. When the show played again on Toonami I really got sucked into season 1 after I got past the fanservice elements the writing really shows through. So with the new live action movie, this was a obvious choice.

damn, this is good. i see batou and oh, man is that jigen? the lone wolf?! nice one. i think the inking made it work and it looks really cool and (sniff sniff) i smell death battle! from what i read in your intro you love season one and so did i. motoko, my god is she fine as hell but like you said, once you get past the fanservice there is a lot of action. perhaps one day i may write a batou tale and only him and the voice actor richard epcar rocks. this is a great sketch but i wish spike speigel were there. anyway i fave this.
