Description
Hmm. Dunno if this is supposed to go here or under Mixed Media tutorials...I just remembered about this so I may as well post it up.
This is a simple tutorial (if that's even the right way to describe it) or how I colour when using pencils. It's just the way that I do things and is only really a guide, so don't take it as Gospel.
Oh yes, pardon the picture quality. These were taken on my phone's camera.
The finished pic's in the scraps by the way.

I did something like this, but not nearly so sophisticated. Oh, I miss my Prismacolors...

I figured it out through trail and error, and reading a fair few tutorials for both pencils and digital colouring. Nothing idiotic about not figuring it out yet at all

haha it is if you are going to art school.
i dunno, my major is interactive media design though...so i don't get to draw much in class lol
thank you though, you're very kind. i'm impressed by your personality as well as your art.

I like using my blender colorless markers to make smudges on my pictures, and get this weird blend.
Good tutorial on the red, since it's a somewhat hard color to pull off correctly! But that's just me, since I love shading blues, and greens.

It seems like reds need the most work to get looking right - in my experience, anyway.

Agreed.
People literately think; well beginners will go straight to a crimson red, rather then doing the yellow, or a pink hue.
Which really, it's baby steps towards blending the color.
