Description
..this was also inspired at first by Lovecraft, though maybe its not that obvious...
a color in form of a meteorit came down to earth on a farm and it turned the area around it into a bizarre, colorful landscape and turned the people crazy
i really like how it turned out
thanks to the wonderful textures from * aleksandra and ~resurgere
i think its kinda difficzlt to find the right category for this, maybe i'll change it later .. too bad the Dark section is gone

Wow, fantastic work here. I love the entire composition of the piece. The rough and scratchy texture really set a nice mood for me. The lighting, or darkness rather, of the piece really make me curious as to what might be going on in the subject of the piece. Fantastic work.

Title and the picture itself immediately reminded me of Lovecraft. I love your interpretation of the story...very strong image and it captures quite well the absurdity and bizarreness of Lovecaft's stories.

There is something so unique to this picture... the lines and shapes that crop up, most particularly in the sky, seem to give the picture a 'framework', which I find very intriging. I really like the clouds and the pale image of the tree.
I think this is a clever manipulation, and deserves a fav.

ahh, wonderful. That story had given me the creeps when I read it. I know, Lovecraft's stories are designed to do that, but that one in particular had that effect on me. And funnily enough, the colours you have used here are -very- close to what I'd imagined the landscape would look like. That was a nice surprise.

This captures the desolation and "cosmic consumption" feeling of Lovecraft's story incredibly well. I could see this as a book cover for a new collection of his work. You'd never convince Del Rey to use it since it doesn't fit their "Lovecraft-books-must-have-a-garish-tent acled-horror-on-
the-cover" approach, but I'd still like to see it.

This is one of the best interpretations of Lovecraft's stories that I have ever seen. The Color Out of Space scared the living tar out of me (what with the deformed animals, and the glowy trees, and the people being sucked of their lifeforce...) and this makes me feel a little wary just by looking at it (which, in this case, is great). I applaud you on this amazing piece of art!
