Description
Based on a suggestion, I took the original raw file and played with it in an HDR program. Let me know what you think of this version compared to the previous one.Original here: [link]
As I stood on the beach, I watched the wind blow sand across the scene, covering the last remnants of those who had walked before. Soon, their path was covered and their presence forever forgotten.

I like this one more. It glows, and seems to have more depth.

This pne is very appealing compared to the original... I think the darker shades are what I like.
This reminds me of some sand dunes at a place I used to live.

Brilliant! I love the detail, and the footprints disturbing the desert sand is just brilliant

Very beautiful, but it leaves me sad. It makes me think of the wonderful days I had in NZ a year ago and how far I am from those. Nevermind, I like it a lot!

Nice shot I like this version better then the other one, just goes to show how a bit of darker sand and sky makes such a difference!

The sky is definitely prettier in this version. I'm having a hard time deciding if I like how the sand is darker in this version than in the other.
But this is definitely a favorite.

It would be a nice place to relax in the summer. When I went it was probably around 50 degrees out, and I was getting pretty cold.

Everyone seems to like this one, and I'm no exception. It's gorgeous. Very desolate and isolated but also very 'warm' at the same time.

Wow, the colours are so beautiful, I love the golden tones. If you'll excuse my asking, I keep hearing about HDR, and I've gathered a vague idea of how it works, can you point me where to find out more about it? I wouldn't mind trying it for myself

If you want to learn more about HDR photography, I would suggest searching for "hdr tutorial" here on DA. There's a ton of good articles on how to do it. And once you have the general idea, just play around until you get something you like. That's how I learned anyway.
