Description
I was lucky to get this one. As I was walking around today I just came across this bird. The only lens I had with me was my 100mm macro. What to do? The only thing I could...spend about 5 minutes slowly creeping up on it before I was close enough for a decent picture.I probably looked ridiculous to anyone who saw me.

Beautiful shot, the creeping up towards it was well worth it!!

I do that too. Actually in Australia a couple weeks ago I spent probably 20 minutes trying to get this one seabird to trust me enough to get some shots of her not being defensive. It just started to pay off... when her MATE arrived ("OMFG! WOWOWOWOW!") and some old pricks came parading down the beach on a power-walk -- right past me clearly photographing these birds -- and frightened the two out to sea. I swore at them but they chose to ignore me.
Great shot by the way!!! (sorry, had to vent that haha)

Wow, that is really too bad. I hate inconsiderate people.
And thanks!
