Description This information is outdated!  Things have changed.  The world expanded!
Please check out the group for them for more info-The-Breezie-Grotto

And for more information on this species and what's new please check out this journal: Information - Wysps

If you're interested send me a note with what you want (traits, colors, wing shape, etc.) and we can hash out the details.

This is a CLOSED species for the time being.  Do not make your own wysps.

This was one of those breezie subspecies I mentioned.  If people are interested then I was planning on doing some adopts of these, but first some information.
(Also, right before uploading this I looked at other adopts just to get and idea of what to put on a ref and I came across 's mothlings which are similar, but there are many differences.  I just wish to state that I did not have any idea about them and I am in no way attempting to step on any toes.  If Aqua feels these are too similar to their species and doesn't want me to make adoptables, then I won't.  But I would rather be safe than sorry.)

What are they:
Wysps are a subspecies of breezie.  They are slightly bigger than breezies and have very large wings.  They are mostly nocturnal and live in forests and swampy areas.

Food:
Wysps can survive on nectar and berries, but they do enjoy insects every so often.  They have fangs in their mouths to help catch prey.

Basic traits:
-Spiral, Stripes, and Spot markings
-Glowing Markings
-Short/Medium Tail

Uncommon traits:
-Glowing Antennae
-Long Tail
-'Winged' ears
-Folded ears
-Full Mane
-Trailing Mane

Rare traits:
-Fire Starter
-Shimmering Wings
-Shimmering Mane
-Sleeper
-Horn
-Shaped Markings (Stars/diamonds/seasonal shapes)

Habits:
Wysps live deep in the woods.  Their wings and sometimes even markings give off a glow at night and they especially like to use this for their own entertainment.  Wysps can be mischievous little creatures.  They like to find lost ponies at night and use their glow to lead them around into plants of poison joke or brambles.  It's all for fun and once they get bored they'll lead them back to a path.  They live in trees and build nests in the branches.  When many gather together it can be very bright.

Babies have very small wings and cannot fly on their own.  They end up being very dependent on their parents/caretaker until they grow into their wings.  Other than that they are very fluffy and pretty much just tiny puffballs.

The wings of Wysps are not seethrough at all, they are very much like moth wings and are covered in a fine powder.

(I realized making two patterns per wysp would include more work, and therefore raise the price on them.  So that feature has been removed.)

I will add more information as needed/requested.

And also I inked it in SAI!  First fully inked SAI picture, guys!  Super excite.  (It's not that good, but I'm still happy)

Is there any other way to buy a "design your own" Wysp other then winning an auction for one? (I so want to make a Wysp version of my cat). If there is, how much would it cost total to make a custom wysp with 1 uncommon trait? Thx! :3

We don't have any prices for Make-Your-Owns higher than common tier at the moment.

Man, I wanna draw a random Wysp all poofed up and scared looking---I just like drawing fluff

Maybe one day... when I actually have one.... but man, all of your Breezies are so amazing! It's so hard to pick just one species for me to buy.

Do you have a difference between trailing and full mane?
Also if we have an existing wysp we bought in an auction that has rare and uncommon traits already, could we pay to add one or two more(I'm only after uncommons)

Also could a normal wysp have a winter and spring coat like wylla or is that 'great wysp' exclusive?

FuyusFox In reply to peaceouttopizza23 [2016-02-20 20:55:29 +0000 UTC]

Trailing Mane:

Full Mane:

Or see Wylla's winter coat.

And that is a Great Wysp exclusive.

As far as purchasing other traits, there's no method to do that with at the moment.

Oh okay!
So full mane is, well, a mane. Whereas trailing mane connects all the hair down the back and chest

Alrighty! If it helps, I was interested in the full mane or something of the like >v< let me know if you all ever decide to allow it with points/muns, or brownie points

SwimmingWolf132 [2016-02-15 14:30:57 +0000 UTC]

What does the full mane look like? (sorry to bother) Does it just go higher up the neck?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuyusFox In reply to SwimmingWolf132 [2016-02-15 23:29:43 +0000 UTC]

Kind of like a lion's mane.  Examples are the Moonlight themed Wysp and Wylla's winter coat.

Oooooohhhhh okie dokie. Hypothetically, could a wysp have a trailing mane and full mane? or would trailing mane sort of cancel it out?

They can have both.

I actually made these guys before I knew about those.

And I even asked Aqua before I sold any of them, just to make sure they were stepping on any toes.
But these are the first drafts, and I do hope they're a bit more different than mothlings at this point.

At the moment the only way to get a make-your-own slot is to buy one.

Other than that, no.

So the Fire Starter trait - I've only seen it located on ears and wings before. Is there anywhere else it can go?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuyusFox In reply to Zannolin [2016-01-13 00:34:13 +0000 UTC]

Ears, wings, and hooves are the main places it'll go.

Anything else starts going into a super rare category.

At the moment we aren't going to be doing any free MYOs for a little bit after a big event such as this.

There will still be auctions though, and a common MYO is available for $5 or 500 points.

Fuyus, When wysps walk around, do their wings close up?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuyusFox In reply to Skafarorya [2015-12-13 22:22:48 +0000 UTC]

It all depends on the wysp, but sometimes it's easier if they fold their wings against their back.

Hi there~ Im thinking of getting a myo spot but was wondering if we could base their wings off of real moths and if so would an atlas moth work for a wysp with common traits upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia…

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuyusFox In reply to Tayaspirits [2015-11-26 16:27:35 +0000 UTC]

Most certainly.

I'm not limiting wysp wings save for they must match the pony.  That is all.

Zannolin In reply to ??? [2015-11-04 11:29:32 +0000 UTC]

I have a question, what is the firestarter trait?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FuyusFox In reply to OmbraniWolf [2015-10-07 02:46:34 +0000 UTC]

Firestarter means they have the ability to start fires, either magically or by breathing them.

Normally there are little flames around their wings.
