I think it would be better if it was less "smooth" as its a guy and like the shot with the chains, its a bit more "rough" and "rugged".
That being said, your technique and lighting is amazing. Truely amazing stuff.

I did the smooth look on these on porpoise. Whatwith wanting to make them look like paintings.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Furthermore, I need a better lens. The 18-55 I shot this with is KUK!
