Description
My seventh submission to the now-defunct Monthly Video Game Character competition. The owner, Ben Krefta, still has the website up and you can peruse other submisisons by going to http://www.organicmetal.co.uk/MVGC/MVGCindex.htmThis was the comment I had included with my submission:
LUNAR GIRLS: Althena's Bromide - Breezy Beach
"I had originally planned on drawing all the girls in a hot spring, but Real Life™ had other plans yet again. By the time I was left to my own devices, there wasn't enough time. So I decided to make a bromide instead, since I noticed that Althena never got one (odd, if you think about it, since everyone else has one or two or three...). I only had two teensy-weensy images as reference so her costume is not as accurate as I wish (I intentionally removed her gauntlets though). Since it's been years since someone played the game in our household, I'm not too sure if Luna was turned into Althena (oops!... spoiler?), although I'm more or less sure that was the case.
Penciling (mech pencil w/ HB lead) and Inking (.5 tech pen) took 6 hours, cleaning up the scanned image and adding block colors (in Photoshop) took another 6. Shading it to closely resemble a Lunar Bromide took 6 hours - hmmm... three sixes..."
Another piece where the PSD was lost when the harddisk crashed. Just like the RUDY image though, I had made a JPG image of the full sized work (the one I submitted was smaller due to file size constraints) to be used as a sample work for a tutorial I was giving to a bunch of friends. I then re-sized it so that it could fit in the DeviantArt webpage.

Thanks for the comments Dorokobee,Xilonen.
I tried to make sure that I was faithful to how the other Lunar Bromides were drawn and kept referring to them when I was working on this image.
As for the eyes, I don't think it has any burn in it at all.

Thanks for the comment,
Although she is supposed to be a "bad" character, there's nothing wrong with her enjoying a simple walk in the beach while there's a refreshing breeze, so I tried to show that she was having fun.

What I like most of this picture is the simplicity of the eyes. I do not know why, but I just adore anime eyes and it's refreshing to see them not overkilled by the dodge and burn tool sometimes =]
The anatomy is great, and so is the flow of her hair Also, coloring = spot on.

Thanks for the comment,
Although I had posted a reply, I didn't use the Reply button, I realized only now that you might not have seen what I said yet.
I don't think I did any burn for her eyes, since it would've made the red in her eyes less obvious. Also, I tried as much as possible to match the color style used in the other Lunar Bromides.
