Description
The Labyrinthosaurus is a hybrid between the amphibian Labyrinthodontia and the titanosaur Argentinosaurus. This is one of the largest and the longest hybrids that InGen has ever done. It was created to attract the public to the park. This large creature is most like the infamous Loch Ness Monster, living in rivers, swamps, and lakes. It has a large, orangey, translucent sail running from their heads all the way to turning into a fluke for the tail. This fluke helps it swim a lot better underwater. Spikes also run from their shoulders to the beginning of the tail, most likely as a form of protection. It is an omnivore, preferring to eat on aquatic vegetation, but it will also eat fish and small animals due to their small heads. A small crest on their heads is what attaches the sail to the rest of the body. They also have a large throat pouch, bigger than their own heads, which allows them to communicate with each other, making deep groans and gurgles. They have small, powerful legs, most likely due to a combination of the Argentinosaur’s powerful legs and the Labyrinthodontia’s small legs. The green, scale-like pattern is probably an adaptation to confuse predators when swimming underwater, as they won’t be able to distinguish very well its weak points.
It is 6.5m(21.5ft) tall, 26m(85.8ft) long, and weighs 77.3 metric tons(~85 tons). It is not as large or as big as its predecessor Argentinosaurus, but it is still a ginormous specimen. Because of its size and being more related to sauropods than amphibians, it is classified as a titanosaur for its sheer size. Because of its amphibious dna, it has evolved to not only have powerful set of lungs but also a swim bladder, allowing it to easily float around under water. It is also highly territorial for some reason; we do not know why it is. It seems that it likes living with other sauropods, most likely because of its dna. The other sauropods have also accepted the hybrid as their own, although they are confused as to why it likes living in the water; a situation that I can only describe as hen taking care of a duckling, the duckling swimming happily while the hen is freaking out because chicks don’t swim very well.
