Sonic and Sally had just returned to Archie Comics after a lunch break.Sally; Nice to get out of that restrictive Mecha suit for a while.
Sonic; (sipping coffee) This first issue mainly focuses on Wily and Eggman, so I'll have some off time. MAybe we can catch a movie or something.
Sally; (swallows a bite of her sandwich) Really?
Sonic; Well, Mega Man and I are scheduled to re-shoot our fight scene tomorrow. Something about a choreography snafu. I just hope I don't have to spend three hours trying to wash plasma out of my-
Sally and Sonic come face-to-face with Tails, who is wearing an odd costume. Sonic and Sally don't recognize him at first.
Sally;...Is this one of...OURS...or one of...THEIRS?
Sonic; Not sure. Hey, Tails, is that you? Or do we need to have a chat with Wily again?
Tails; (irritated) Yes, it's me.
Sally; What are you wearing?
Tails; It's part of the big evil plan that the Doc's have. You guys are looking at the first Roboticized Master, Tails Man.
(silence)
Sally; Roboticized Master.
Tails; Yep.
Sonic; Tails Man.
Tails; Uh-Huh.
Sonic; ...Well, I've heard goofier.
Sally; I think the costume looks nice. Is it uncomfortable?
Tails; Depends. Do you think you could jam half of your spine into a tight, contorted position and hold it there for hours on end?
Sally; Yikes. And I thought MY costume was uncomfortable.
Tails; I KNOW! We spent about two hours just putting the thing on! At least I can breathe in mine.
P.A.; *CHHK* FIRST AID REPORT TO DRESSING ROOM A6. FIRST AID TO DRESSING ROOM A6.
Tails; Well, Knuckles passed out again.
Sonic; Again?
Tails; He'll be fine. The tech guys are going to make some readjustments to all the suits tonight. On a related note, did you know that Shadow is claustrophobic?
Shadow; THERE IS NO WAY I AM GETTING IN THAT SUIT UNTIL I HAVE SOME EXTRA ROOM! I AM NOT GOING TO DIE IN THAT SUIT LIKE THE ECHIDNA!
Knuckles; (gasping) Shadow, I'm (huff) not dead!
Shadow; NOT THIS TIME! JUST YOU WAIT! THESE COSTUMES WILL BE THE DEATH OF US ALL!!!
Amy; SHADOW, SHUT UP!!!! I DON'T LIKE THIS ANY MORE THAN YOU DO!!!!!!
Sally; Hey, Tails, I brought you a Turkey Club. When do you shoot your scene?
P.A.; TAILS MAN, DR. WILY AND DR. EGGMAN PLEASE REPORT TO THE SET. TAILS MAN, DR. WILY AND DR. EGGMAN TO THE SET, PLEASE.
Tails; I guess that answers that. Keep that sandwich warm for me, guys. (begins walking away, suddenly spasms) AGH! GEEZ!
Sally; Tails! Are you okay?!
Tails; I'm going to need five chiropractors when this is over.

Yep. Backstage at Archie is a mini-series now.
I bought the first issue of "Worlds Collide" recently, and I'm really hooked so far. But, of course, there are some inevitably odd things about it. "Tails Man" being one of them. Now, the design is pretty cool, and it's an interesting way to work in the principle of the two worlds interacting with each other. But...the naming is just too silly to me. And considering that we have no idea where Tails' namesakes went in the transformation, I thought I'd make a potential running gag about how the Roboticized costumes are ungodly uncomfortable.
Poor Mobians.

I never did see much point to the Roboticized Masters angle of the Worlds Collide arc. To me it just came off as an unnecessary gimmick to convince people to see their favorite characters get on the "I've been roboticized" band wagon that the comics seem to have a fetish for nowadays. But I digress. I can only imagine how Team Chaotix feels being stuffed into those plastic monstrosities.

What would you would've done to make the "Roboticized Master" thing a little bit better?

Well, for starters, I'd make their concept as less of a plot cul-de-sac. Seriously, you notice how their inclusion adds little to the overall plot? Sure, it does stuff early on like adding the Chaos Emeralds and making Sonic's friend count obscenely limited, but in terms of the long term, they barely do a frigging thing say for get in Sonic and Megaman's way! The IDEA sounds good on paper, but in execution, it really doesn't do much in the grand scheme.
In fact, the more I think about it, the more their inclusion becomes more and MORE pointless! Think about it, it's confirmed in the arc that Dr. Wily has many of his own Robot Masters at his beck and call (except for the original eight made by Dr. Light, but that's irrelevant), so why couldn't he just use THEM to get the Chaos Emeralds? There's nothing that says that he couldn't do that, and his army's not hampered in any way pre-climax.
But for the sake of argument, let's just assume that this HAD to be done. Why not just have them contribute more than just be mindless goons? I dunno, give them more personality, maybe give them more power-just SOMETHING to make it seem like this matters!

Yeah, I can see your point. I would love to see the Roboticized Masters have more personalities.
I can picture Tails Man after getting Roboticized. He would probably be more cheerful, maybe say "hi!" To the doctors while maintaining a cute pose. He might even thank them for giving him a "way past cool" body. Then when dealing with Sonic and Mega Man, he would probably play at this like it was some kind of game. I can see him pulling a trick or two on them from time to time.

In my opinion, the tails flattened into the wings and migrated up to Tails man's shoulders.

At first i felt bad for Tails and the rest of sonic's friends being turned into robots but looking at this made me laugh. The naming makes them sounds like superheroes.

Basically, if someone from Sonic's world wants to go into Mega Man's world or vice versa, they need someone or something from the world they are going to as some sort of tether. So, because a Roboticized Master is a mix between Eggman and Wily's tech, they can jump from world to world solo without a problem.

O_o like and Ibis Anchor or something like that,.....So Wily does the upgrading to the Robians kinda like what Buttnik did to Sally? Thats surely madness...and yet The Blue Blurring Bombers are gonna tear the place up swickedly!
