Description It continues!  My second completed Blender project - the Grim Reaper form the Sims2 converted to the Sims 4.

Man, this one was harder than I thought it'd be.  Apparently, regular ol' alpha channels aren't very supported in Sims4.  You have to use this thing called "simglass" and you have to layer your model correctly.  As I stands I had to make the bones solid thusly (shudders) compromising the look.  This is most evident from the back.  Best I got under the circumstances.

This fella also uses the Sims 2 vertex groups and weights.  Oddly his two middle fingers were glued together - no need to keep that! - but he lacks a third part of his finger and actually has giant monster hands when overlaid on top of a regular Sim.  Weird!

1) Only one LOD.
2) This guy's a skeleton, so sliders are disabled.

Update April 4th 2019
This was one of the very first Sims4 conversions I ever made.  So it's only natural that I find a few flaws with it now and made some changes worthy of announcing a full update.

Mainly that I managed to extract the FULL Reaper texture from the Sims 2 - and not just the half sized one this used before.  So now you guys can see the Reaper's full texture.  As withall my older meshes I've gone back and ACTUALLY removed lower LODs that were simply repeated before instead of simply repeating them across LODs.  And, as you can see, I've managed to make a version with his Lei necklace.  No, alpha shaders haven't improved, I simply subdivided the mesh to an absurd degree, "cut out" the transparent bits, and then dissolved the edges.  The shadows are sometimes a bit iffy and the clipping is absurd, but it's nice to have this as an option.  So there you have it.

On this journey I've discovered how to make the ENTIRE texture map accessible, which was a must.  I've also discovered that there are some areas of the mesh that just refuse to be transparent with the Simglass shader - the teeth and eye part.  Luckily I was able to work around this.  The bone and flower texture was moved onto those parts.

Hopefully one day Sims4 makes a real alpha shader for the game, but it's really unlikely.

Update June 23rd 2019
After playing with this some more, I really wasn't happy with how the texture looked, so I redid it a bit.  It was tough to find the right order, but I finally did it.

Update March 22rd 2020
I'm working on a project involving umbrellas and I noticed that they were held too high with this on.  So that has been fixed.

Update April 12 2020
Fixed arm positions when the hands touch the head.  Only a minor change.

Update June 8 2020
Removed the situation tag.

They're just costumes; there's nothing inherently special about any sort of clothing or CC.  But you can use my career to make them all legit Grim Reapers, sure.  You can make as many Grims as you like.

But note that they won't necessarily look great in the poses.  This Reaper, for instance, seems to impale himself with the scythe.  This is just because of the thickness of this mesh and the pose just not working well together.
