EDIT 9/14/2013: Buy an 8.5x11 print of this on eBay for just $5! www.ebay.com/itm/281167712660?…Here's another one of my "redesigned Justice League" pics. There's actually a whole series of these that remain uncolored (I started them back in 2003-ish, but this one was done a couple of months ago). If I ever get around to releasing a sketchbook, the whole series will be in there.

There's been more than one Aquaman? Nah, this is Arthur Curry. I just drew him with a little more spunk and humor than he's usually portrayed with. He might have looked a little older if I had drawn him with a full beard instead of a goatee. I just thought I'd go for something more medieval (even though Atlantis has nothing to do with the Middle Ages

That is a sick redesign slayer! How do you get that gloss effect on your metals like that?

In Photoshop, you create a new layer on top of your linework (if you're putting your color layers below the lines). Set that layer to "screen". Now, choose a pretty color and airbrush lightly over the highlight areas. If I'm doing gold, I usually use orange for airbrushing gold, blue for silver, and so on
