The costume changes are very, VERY inspired by Wally's Kid Flash suit in the new Young Justice toon. The character designs on that show are unbelievable...and to me, Wally will always be The Flash, whether Barry is back or not.Related content

why is it that no one ever talks about the flash's boots i mean you would think that they would take a huge amount of wear and tear when a person is able to run that fast all the time.
furthermore shouldn't his suit have some kind of internal coolant system so that the flash can stay comfortable whil running at such speeds?
lastly,seeing as the flash can run at time alteringly phenomenal speeds it also means that he can time travel; there for shouldn't have to be careful about not running into himself in his own past?

I think the same thing, man. Superman, too. Their suits should be pretty damn durable to withstand the speeds that they travel at, the punishment that they take, ect. That's why I made Flash look a little more armor-y than usual. I also stole the idea of the suit having little vents from the Young Justice cartoon. In the toon, Wally's suit has a little more to it. It even has pouches for extra food, since his metabolism is so high and he would have to eat constantly.
As for the time travel thing...I have no idea. I didn't even know he could do that. But I guess as long as he can generate the 1.21 gigawatts of power necessary and has room to get up to 88mph, he should be good

and actually the flash time traveling makes sense since wally was able to travel faster then the speed of sound which was far above mach 5 and damn close to the speed of light.

the theory was actually explained in a superman comic that if sups flew around the sun fast enough in either direction he could traverse through human existence's version of time in one of the comics he actually does it too.
and if my memmory serves correctly a character in a flash comic gave the flash a device that if he ran at high enough speeds the device would activate and open up a door way that would allow him to travel back in time or to go forward in time.

Here's the rundown:
1. Duplicate all figure layers
2. Flatten duplicates, and move flat layer under the figure
3. Apply "motion blur" effect
4. Hit ctrl+T to transform
5. Right click (i use a PC) on the transform box and select "distort"
6. Alter the blurry figure so that it is in perspective with the figure (i.e. make the side farthest from the figure smaller, so that it looks like he's running from a distance).
7. Use the line tool to add a few brightly colored streaks
That's it! Instant speed streaks!

Awesome work, Gavin! Love the streaks and lightning. It kind of reminds me of that move Kramer used to do on Seinfeld when he'd enter the room, only a million times faster!

Agreed, like the costume design here. Its newer and updated, but still has the classic look in a sense. And Wally has always been the Flash for me.

Yeah, Wally's been The Flash since before I could read, so I don't really have any kind of attachment to Barry. Plus, I think it was kind of cool that after Barry's death, Wally stepped up and took his place. That really made the story of The Flash a generational one, you know?

Oh, it's awesome! I can't get enough of it! And all of the characters look, really, really cool. I LOVE the little tweaks they made in Robin's costume. He looks better than ever, imo.
