~~~
Name: Henry Jackson
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Race: Caucasian(English/Scottish)
Height: 6’0”
Team: Team Europe - London, England
Alias: King ‘o Cats(Just “Cat” for those who wish to save time)
Motivation: He feels an obligation of sorts, especially after his father never used the powers of the miraculous. He wants to give Tomm the satisfaction of knowing he won’t be laying about his house bored all the time. Besides, it wouldn’t kill Henry to try heroism to unwind a bit in the evenings, you know?
Miraculous Pair: He isn’t sure. After researching his miraculous’s animal, he’s come to the conclusion that if there is another half to his pair, it’s probably a Cu Sidhe.
Typical Heroism: Just little acts of helpfulness. Probably stops a petty thief or two. His favorite way of doing so is making a fool of them as he leaps around in and out of shadows.
Hero Theme: Undertakers and gravekeepers. Also just the general energy exuded by the fae because duh.
Kwami Type: Cat Sidhe (AKA, scottish faerie cat)
Miraculous: Celtic Brooch(each gem on it lights bright green when active, and fade over time when the transformation starts to run out)
Tool: Pole lantern - Doesn’t have real fire in it, but instead contains a ghostly ball of blue light that gives off only the most gentle of warmth. The lantern can be opened, and Henry usually does so to warm people’s hands on the light within it. Mostly uses the lantern as a staff. Sometimes attracts cats since, in Scottish folklore, Cat Sidhe are attracted to the warmth of lanterns.
Special Ability: Shadow Step - Allows the user to become a shadow, allowing them the ability to slip through cracks and crevices and whatever other things might come with being a shadow. It’s more used for mobility, so it doesn’t really use a lot of the kwami’s energy. The skill can be used about 8 or 9 times before the transformation begins to run out. He can also use this skill to store his weapon for safe keeping, with no charge taken off of the transformation. Best of all, Henry can bring up to 3 other people into the shadows with him. They'll need Henry's help to take them back out of the shadows, but that doesn't mean its impossible to get out themselves(DC 13 if only 1 person is in the shadow, 12 if only 2 people are in the shadow, and 10 for if 3 people are in it.)
Personality:
Anyone who knows Henry figures he’s the last person who’d live a double life. He’s a lovable nerd, who’d much rather find himself in the company of books than most people. He takes teaching rather seriously, and tries to be a friend of sorts with his students so they feel safe asking him for help with their studies and all that. Other than that, he’s a polite gentleman and rather easily flustered.
As the King O’ Cats, he’s much the same, but with less restraint. He’s more noticeably clever, actively scheming ahead so he doesn’t get caught up in a villain’s trap. He very much exudes that trickster energy that the fae are known for, and that’s exactly what he’s going for.
Bio: Henry was born in Scotland to an English mother and her husband, the local Undertaker. He’d grown up in the country for almost all his life until moving to London for college and eventually staying there for work. It was during his 3rd year teaching that his father died. It was both the worst and best day of his life. The worst because he was obviously devastated, but the best because of what came in the will. All his money and such had been given to his wife and only child. But one thing specifically had been sent to Henry while he was teaching. It was a strange brooch, of the Celtic variety, with a cat theme going one. He received it while in Scotland for his father’s funeral, and put it on once he arrived home the following night. And it was that night when he first met Tomm. Oh, this… this was unexpected. A cat sidhe, eh? His father told him stories about those creatures when he was a child, but he never suspected them to be real. Like at all. Well, life ended up getting interesting for Henry. By day, you’ll find him teaching Chemistry at some college in London. By night, you might see him walking through the shadows in search of crime to stop. It appears the King ‘o Cats roams England in recent years...
Kwami Name: Tomm
Kwami's Favorite food: Catnip
Brief Kwami/Miraculous History: The cat sidhe miraculous has a long expansive history of use. Most famous, it was wielded by Scathach, a famous scottish warrior woman from the Ulster Cycle. Tomm has seen rather little use in the past few decades, as Henry’s father never used the miraculous for heroism or villainy. He served as a little assistant - a familiar if you will - that helped around the graveyard whenever he did undertaker work. Now, he gladly hangs out with Henry and helps with hero work.
Kwami's Personality:
Clever
Smug devil
Flirty
Devious
Lazy
Extras:
The entirety of his hero persona has references to the old fairy tale “ The King ‘o Cats”
His transformation trigger is “Tomm, Tim Toldrum’s dead.” Yet another reference to the fairy tale.
Likes wearing nerdy science t-shirts when not at work.
His dad never actually used the miraculous. He just kinda had Tomm around as a helper of sorts.
Works as a chemistry professor at a university in London
