Description
This is actually a print. I drew it with what was basically like a black colored pencil on a thin metal sheet which was run through a printing press. It's from a photo I took of my niece.Related content

Very well done. I love the moodiness of this piece and the contrast of the apparently dark and turbulent atmosphere (which may not have been your intent) with the seeming serenity of your niece.

Honestly I was just working with a blur photograph. I made up the water (it was actually just a gravel driveway) and the background was just a bunch of trees that looked pretty much exactly how I drew them. There was absolutely no definition to them. I'm glad you like it.

I really do. This is a very touching piece. You might think of doing like-pieces (six or more) and then selling them as greeting cards or something with different inspirational sayings below. This one for instance might have several possibilities. It looks kinda' like a sweet sympathy card for a lost child (sorry!)

Ha ha. That's definitely an idea, though the lost child idea is a bit sad! I'd like to think more that it's a nice reminder of the innocence of youth maybe.

The 'lost child' was not my first thought, but I was thinking what might sell. I would not really want one of my paintings to be primarily sold at funereal occasions.
That picture speaks to me of innocence regained and the natural beauty of children among many other light-hearted and touching things.
