Yeeeeah I might've been listening to too much Gaga recently.
I had planned to go out somewhere for a shoot today but it's way too wet and windy out, but I figured I'd have a little Fen time anyway
I usually try to avoid uploading more then one shot from a shoot here but I couldn't decide between them...

This piece, firstly, invokes a feeling of warmth and love. But, as I look a little closer it seems to have a slightly cold and dark aura.
The short depth of field works beautifully to focus specifically on his face. But, the same action works almost too much in certain areas. First, my eyes are drawn to the lower right corner. It seems to take up too much of the frame and is lost space. Also, I feel like the jaw line needs to be slightly more in focus to give it definition (Although that same idea might cause the head to seem as though it is floating separate from the body. just a consideration).
The overall color tone is even and smooth. I like how it creates the warm feeling. I also enjoy the soft focus and gentle light. The lines created with the arm and floor (and image edge) create nice asymmetry and contrast.
A beautiful piece overall!

I totally agree with you about the bottom right corner and if I was to ever reshoot this that's the one thing I'd definitely try to avoid as the colour's distracting and it still bugs me.
