very simple method.
i usually use the colour replacement tool, which provides very realistic results, though sometimes i find it hard to get the colour you want.

Thanks
Like i said its only meant for new comers to photoshop
Ive had a few people wondering how to change the eye colours without having to paint over them taking away the pattern of the iris
so made this for them
might make a few more tutorials for simple effect things like this.

Making a few more tutorials is a good idea.
I think, a photoshop user never stops learning about new techniques.
For example, I am using photoshop for nearly three years and i have never thought about using levels for adjusting the eye colours. ^^"
