Arthur found himself relishing his first mission because he felt it might be his last. This could be the night where he was able to liberate a vital piece of equipment to deprogram the suit and let some one else use it. He wondered if he would be allowed to go home, or perhaps cut out a small living in some corner of the nation. Either prospect appealed to him.

Doctor Hayashi was quick to remind Arthur that the AOC facility *could* have what they were looking for. Otherwise it might simply hold more alien artifacts that belonged to a race called the Garen. Doctor Hayashi had to constantly remind himself not to chatter Arthur to death about that extraterrestrial society. Life beyond the surface of the Earth always excited Hayashi. It was times like these that he wished he was an astronomer and not a linguist, but he digressed.

For Arthur, just the mere prospect of being able to go home was enough. Unfortunately, he would find so salvation in that house of dogma.
