Arthur found himself overwhelmed with emotions, he gripped Maria's body more tightly. That's when he noticed it. His suit, while in contact with Maria, was monitoring her vitals. Her heart hadn't stopped beating. She was still breathing. Better still, the vitals were improving!

The organism wasn't dead either, in fact it was the primary agent in Maria's recovery. Soon the creature regained its strength and enveloped Maria once more. For a moment Arthur had thought that he might have to fight the creature one more time, but that wasn't the case.

Maria was returned to full health. She regained consciousness and looked upon her rescuer. She instinctively returned to human form upon gazing on Arthur. Arthur disengaged his helmet so the two of them could share a gaze. The two didn't exchange words, they didn't have too. Tears and a single kiss were enough.
