Description
This was to be the first "alien" monster introduced into the series, and a friendly one at that! This guy was to appear sometime in 1977-1978 continuity wise along with two others of it's kind. It would have followed an 'Iron Giant" type story where it befriends a young girl who discovers that it's a fugitive sentient life form from another dimension. Unfortunately for them, the extra-dimensional empire it belonged to had dispatched two warrior-type beings "The Invader" and "The Sniper" to hunt down and capture The Visitor. A destructive battle would ensue that would eventually see "Mr Bright" as it was nicknamed by it's human companion, defeat The Invader and The Sniper. The Visitor aka Mr. Bright would then be a heroic entity that would protect it's adopted hometown and human friend from any mutant threats that arose.

The reason this never got used? Simply put, it was way too early for aliens to show up in the series. It's not technically an "alien" in the traditional sense, but the point still stood that it was too early to go crazy with stuff like this. I wanted a hypothetical alien invasion to happen after the story has had sufficient build-up rather than just appearing out of the blue. I did like the relationship it had with it's human companion, and I really liked the simplistic, geometric design I gave it. So much so that I repurposed elements of it for another character in a separate project. Even now that Act 1 has ended, this character will likely never be used in any capacity. I've already created a new aliens that will appear in Act 2, and their storyline is incompatible with The Visitor's, and trying to force it in would muddy up plot threads I already have established. It's simply not worth integrating when I already have better ideas in place.
