Description Name: Gargulas

Gender: Male

Height: 40 meters

Weight: 9,988 tons

Personality: Gargulas is a scheming coward and highly intelligent, the polar opposite of Baronga. Gargulas will use anything to his advantage, and is not afraid to play dirty. Will often hold off attacking until he develops a strategy.

Abilities:
-Is able to glide short distances. Due to his rather small wings, Gargulas is unable to truly fly.

-Vampiric bite which is able to drain victim's blood in order to heal minor injuries quickly. Gargulas can eventually regrow whole limbs using this ability, but it will take time.

-Gargulas is able to change his skin color and texture to mimic rock, owing to his gargoyle-like appearance. Gargulas is limited to mimicking only rock and dirt.

-Sharp claws on each finger allow Gargulas to scale walls and just as easily claw an enemy's eyes out.

Weaknesses:

-Despite his impressive array of abilities, Gargulas prefers to use hit-and-run tactics.

-Is rather frail physically, and he knows it. His fighting style is centered around using his agility and gliding to strike the enemy before they can strike him.

-Being a subterranian creature, Gargulas is irritated and blinded by bright lights. Gargulas will avoid coming out during the day entirely.

-Due to the aforementioned, Gargulas would have difficulty taking on multiple opponents. He will try to isolate and attack one if he can, but he will usually retreat from battle if he knows he is outmatched. However, this in itself may be a clever ploy by the gargoyle to lure his enemies into a false sense of security.

Backstory:

Gargulas is a previously-unknown species of gargoyle-like creature so far found only in Montana along with another creature, Baronga. Gargulas and Baronga appear to have some sort of intense rivalry.

This particular specimen took up residence in the vast catacombs below a lonely, abandoned church in the Montana wilderness. A previously-undiscovered volcano in the area caused seismic activity that awakened Gargulas from his lair. When the sun set, Gargulas would emerge from underground to terrorize the surrounding area. However this spree would not last, as the volcanic tremors would awaken Gargulas's great enemy, Baronga. For three days, Gargulas would battle Baronga at night, often outsmarting the brute and retreating before the latter had a chance to retaliate.
On the third and final night, the volcano that awakened them both began to erupt. The earth around them shattered and spewed magma as the forests burned. Despite this the two monsters continued to clash, with Gargulas even succeeding in removing one of Baronga's eyes, but in turn lost an arm to his nemesis. At last, the earth beneath them gave way and both monsters where swallowed by a lake of lava. Even as they sank, both monsters thrashed and grappled with each other, enemies to the bitter end.

Though both Gargulas and Baronga are presumed to be destroyed, there are some who believe that the titans survived the eruption and may one day resurface. Gargulas's severed arm is the only physical evidence left of the creature, and is now in government hands for study.

Why do I have the feeling that that arm is going to resurface?
