Thanks. I think lockets are among my favorite forms of jewelry. There's SO MUCH that can be done with them!

Ah, thanks. I can TOTALLY relate to yuo situation. After I left school, I was completely stagnant until I managed to get a torch. A lot of the hand tools I had, but a torch... that's the key (or was for me anyway)

Good luck, sounds like you have a plan?

buy what I can piece by piece, a major problem for me is space, I still live at home and have no good "studio" space to call my very own...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

generationwednesday In reply to josh-swinehart [2004-07-23 02:45:22 +0000 UTC]

Geez, I can relate to that too. I don't live at home, but I use my living room as a studio. I'm looking forward to this move if for no other reason than I'll have a nice big studio away from my living space...

Perhaps you could arrange a work trade for space? (And get models at the same time )

Funny thing is, I have this "rule"... See, I think both seats either need to be up or down. I prefer down cause that means I don't have to look in the toilet evey time I go in the bathroom...

WOW! Are you really, REALLY sure you're a guy?! Er, monkey? Monkey-guy? I agree totally. Open toilets are actually bad Feng-Shui--Supposedly they bring negative chi when left open. Makes sense from a cosmic-sanitation p.o.v.....

Golden Retriever--goes by the name of "Annie"--no, I didn't name her. Instead of that obnoxious little moppet, I prefer to think of her name as "Dreamboat Annie" (by Heart...) SHe's a very mellow dog--which is good-- the last two I had got ran over by cars because they were always running loose.

generationwednesday In reply to MsJ777 [2004-07-23 03:06:59 +0000 UTC]

That's unusual for a golden retriever, being mellow and all...
Good song BTW!

I like Heart's old stuff--"Crazy on You", "Magic Man"--works for me. Annie's 4, so she's past the crazy pup days. Just adopted her a few months ago.

Anecdote: My dad was a bigshot kinda DJ in the Seattle area, and got asked to do a school appearance once in the 60's, I guess. Anyway, after the assembly, these two girls come up to him and introduce themselves--"Hi, my name's Anne and this is my sister Nancy, and we're gonna have a band and call it Heart..." I don't know if those were the exact words, and what grade, etc. they were in, but dad met Heart when they was just little un's...No shit. Not nearly as cool as the Ministry thing, but still. ANy way--I dig them for that, and Anne can WAIL...

They were definitely focused. I have "The Road Home" which is them doing these small intimate shows live and acoustic in Seattle. They had John Paul Jones back them up on mandolin. It's a good album--pretty mellow.

BTW, how do you do links? I've not figured that one out and I didn't find it in the help section...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MsJ777 In reply to generationwednesday [2004-07-24 00:01:46 +0000 UTC]

Just copy an address from the explorer bar or wherever and paste it in your text--deviant codes it and it just shows up as [link].

Don't be fooled by the cover--the shows the album was taped from are less than 10 years old, but the photo was taken when they were wee ones, definitely.

No problem on the link--let me know if there's anything else you're looking for--I'm pretty good at finding stuff on Ebay and elsewhere...
