I do make my own brushes, i might use some downloaded ones from time to time but i put my own settings on them with shape dynamics, texture, scattering, etc.

Eh it's hard to just learn, the most i can tell you is just put custom settings on your brushes and brush and blend and color

yup thats what i do, add some texture, maybe some scattring occasionally but i cant seem to get a good backgorund anymore, im going to have to learn my brushes and filters better
