Fortunately, my basement ceiling lights somehow make the perfect lighting because there are fluorescent lights right above me where I take the photos, and the other lighting in the basement make for a good fill light so the rest of my face isn't completely dark. Sometimes you just get lucky lol.

I am so amazed that you are able to take such breathtaking photos with a D50! What lenses did you use for this photo?

Really I think a lot of people get caught up thinking that the camera itself will make you a better photographer. D50 is a basic dslr camera, but if you know a thing or 2 about lighting, shutter speed, aperture, focusing, you can get professional quality photos regardless of your camera.
