You know, I get tired of seeing people being flamed because of a pairing, its just wrong, and it is a type of predjudice, and I truely think such actions should be spoken out against.This is not limited to Avatar only, I believe that in any show, people are entitled to like whatever they wish, if I dont like it, I just dont look at it

thats true, but I must admit, Bryke did not handle the situation professionally, and as an animator and story writter myself, I found the last few episode... or should I say the movie =_= to be very rushed... I could go into detail on my veiws here, but at the end of the day, there really isn't any piont, I am happy enough to continue with my fandom, and heh just becuase it is the end of the show, doesn't me that the characters lives have to go on as plotted out, That is why I love well written fan fiction

Yeah. Kataang doesn't work for me, either. I'd never flame anyone. I might have a civilised argumant or convosation with someone who wants to, but I'd never sink that low.
Even if the comics for wars really are funny.

Yes! It is fine to think a pairing is stupid or creepy or unfounded etc., or that a person is stupid, or that your paring is the best pairing, or even to share (politely!) why, for whatever reason/s, you just don't see a certain pairing working, but it is in bad taste to flame a person simply for liking a pairing. Only assholes flame a person for their preferences.

I never flame anyone. I avoid other ships. Most of the time I only get angry if they don't put a Kataang warning in a summary for a fanfic.

I know. It's truly sad. Some people feel the need to debate my beliefs with me. 3 times they have tried and 3 times they have failed. The worst part is that really bothers me that people feel that mean words can change me.

the thing is I am not all against Kataang, its just it doesn't seem to fit in the show at all, she acts too like his mothier then anything else, sooo if they got together, I truely do think that it would make me like the show a little less (though only a little) but I dooo see how people could like it, after all Aang is a loveable charater and he really does like her.

not really, speaking out against predjudice, and flamers, is not forcing the flamer into liking or disliking anything, it is merely asking them to respect other peoples opinions, it is not telling them to like what they see, just asking that they ignore it and move on. no harm done to anyone that way
