An older comic of mine I did after watching 'The Last Airbender'.
It's not as funny as it seemed when I first drew it. But yeah... I really wanted to upload something, and my lil sis kept bugging me about coloring this.
After watching the series, the Firebending they had in the movie seemed incredibly... I don't know... downsized? Not that I mind though. It's an interesting idea. But even cartoon Zuko at his worst could kick their butts!
Disclaimer: References from the episode "The Firebending Masters" were heavily used, but no tracing was involved.
I know the Firenation soldiers look terrible, but when I first drew this I couldn't for the life of me find a good ref. So yeah, I guess you'll just have to live with it.
[EDIT]: Ok, sorry for the faceless Aang. lol I blame it all on Koh. But it's back now, so don't worry. XD (Though I still think this one was pretty funny... [link] lol)I only make fun of 'The Last Airbender' movie because I love it.

I watched the movie before I saw the book one, and I was like that was pretty good. Then I see book one....yep series is better. But I must admit the movie did have good cgi even though M. Night had firebenders not be able to create flames because it looked too unstoppable or something like that.
I mean come on, of course they would be kinda unstoppable in the series, the war had been going on for about a hundred years.

LOL x°D Amazing, I'm still laughing! When in the movie Ozai (=___= poor Ozai...) says that Sozin's Comet can give to the firebenders the power to make fire I simply fell down to the sofa. OMFG TT___TT They destroyed an amazing story!

Lol! Yeah. I actually kinda liked the movie, but there's no doubt that the whole thing was a mess. >_< Another thing that cracked me up was when Ozai 'sentenced' his son to an Agni Kai.

Yeah, I can see the logic behind making them need a source of fire to bend, but they were 'depowered' (lol love that word XD) much more than was necessary.

ROFL! Yeah, I can't say the firebending bugged me too much throughout most of the movie, but that one scene in the earthbender prison was absolutely terrible!

Another thing that drove me nuts was how often the soldiers completely stopped fighting to look up during the battle at the North Pole. >< (And how the Firebenders would run away at the first sign of a fight. Seriously, how the crap did those people become the most feared/powerful nation in the world again?

there she explained the differences between the movie and the series.. it's really funny
the movie differs a lot from the series, even the names are pronounced differently.. I'm asian, I know that Aang will be read Uung, but that is when we read the words.. I'm used the original pronunciation, so why would syamalan change it? I hope that syamalan don't continue making another movie of the series..

Yeah, I found right after watching 'The Last Airbender' movie actually! She's bloody brilliant!!
No worries about the rant! lol I was actually one of the few(?) who enjoyed the movie. But at the same time I can totally understand why you dislike it. >_> One of the things that really drove me nuts was how they pronounced Iroh's name 'Ear-Roh'. I can deal with the other pronunciations, just not that one.
