This is the 1968 Mercury Cougar R2 aka the Blaze Cougar.
I had a lot of trouble with this car. First the badge was way too wide when I drew it originally. Then coloring it presented its own challenge. Lastly, the car, It was hard to find the right lines since it was a classic car without a modern equivalent. Then I couldn't quiet figure out a good paint scheme for it. I ended up weaving a new pattern for it. Then the rims were challenging too, and I ended up re-using a pair I had since they resembled the sketched rims.

As this is part of the Rev Rider Race, this car is equipped with special equipment. As part of the Blaze Breakers, it is equiped with special heat tires and heat plows (not shown), which allows them driver to drive through the Heart of a Volcano
