Oh, you can take off the blood mark and keep her looks... I saw the blood mark as Garrett's thing, not Mari's.
I did play as Garrett once - the Anders romance is surprisingly good - but I just couldn't bear losing Beth so I never finished it...

Even if I play with Garrett, I don't think I'd romance Anders (he was a great character in Awakening but he is a bit pathetic in DA2).

I miss Awakenings Anders, too. But he has the best romance in DA2. Romancing Fenris is like having a relationship with a whiny, self-absoprbed sociopath, and I've done that too many times in real life.
Romancing Merrill is sweet, but she has the emotional responses of a seven year old. You have to mollycoddle her through the car-crash you can see coming a mile off, then blame other people for her shortcomings afterwards to keep her (oddly enough , I no problems with that!).
Romancing Izzy is nice, but... I see Marian as the jealous type, and she never shuts up about her past conquests.

I've never tried romance with Anders in DA2 so I don't know the whole story. I don't like Fenris's personality, I'm sorry you had to deal with people like him in real life 
Merrill is so adorable, she is the sort of person you could forgive again and again. It's strange something that adorable can be so stupid sometimes 
Is Marian the jealous type I wonder? My impression of her is that she is a nice, sweet, sarcastic, cheeky and funny person. Shepard in the other hand is a bit too serious at the time
Izzy is nice but I wonder how many other people she sleeps with in between the time she sleeps with Hawke to that time she realizes her feeling for Hawke

Merrill is indeed adorable, I don't mind putting up with her childlike side to romance her.

Uhmmm... don't know what happens if you romance Merril and then Isabela, I'm not even sure that can be done... It is possible that starting a romance with anyone else will result in Isabela keeping her distance from Hawke.

Think about it. In the first one, there is only Liara for lesbian pairings but she's bi. No guy/guy in the second or first.
There is only two in the third one for lesbian. Liara again and another girl.
There is only two male/male- Kaidan and another guy. That's it.

Technically Liara x Shep relationship doesn't count as a lesbian relationship. I guess we are luckier because male-Shep doesn't have many choices for male partners :/
