At first I was planning to romance Merrill and no one more, but then my Hawke met Isabela, and it was a bit hard to choose. Merrill's romance develops in a slow way, kind of like you're not really sure if you're romancing her or just flirting until one special moment. It's very cute, but I guess it could be more expanded.
But if I really were honest, I would say that I would really love to have a romance with Aveline!

The first things caught my eyes were Isabela's boobs hahaha. I had encountered an error while doing her mission so I had to replay about 5 hours of gaming just to get her to join my team. Merrill and Isabela are two complete different characters so it was pretty difficult for me to choose between them, but after awhile I settled for Merrill, she is adorable 
To me, Aveline feels like an older sister to Hawke, just like Garrus a brother to Shep

Yeah, the default Hawke design is pretty awesome, and I rarely make any significant changes when I'm playing DA2. It just works, you know?
