Look at the word in the middle. What do you see? Now look at the white space in between the letters. Now what do you see? You see just what happens when two people become best friends: they become inseparable.

This is a gift for *JKSketchy (AKA Jenny) and *DuckxDuck (AKA She-who-must-not-be-named). It started out as a simple self-postulation that I could get the letters of "Scout" to intertwine with those of "Duck". After a few attempts, I came up with the pattern you see here. It's not perfect, but if I waited until it was, there's only a small chance it'd be done in time for Christmas... next year. Then I decided it would make a neat background, but then I had to add the characters... and before I knew it, it was destined to be a joint Christmas gift. That's Scout on top and Duck on bottom, two characters I've adored for a long time but have never yet drawn.

I finished this about two weeks ago, so I've been waiting patiently until today to post it. (But I've been tweaking it a few times to get lots of little things just right. It even loops left to right, so it can be used as a tiled desktop background!)
