The ship, the foliage, the background are all so amazing! I wish the foreground palm had some curve, some softness to it -- it looks very flat.
I feel bad making a critique because the rest of the image is so stunning. Really nice work.

This is a sad story IMO because the title says so!! Awesome shot and setup. So were they aliens, or a futuristic aerotype vehicle that crashed in the engrossing mountain/jungle terrain in South America/Congo?

When i first made it i wanted to create the hole scene without the spaceship but when i finished i felt i have made another vue scene like all the others with nothing intresting in it. A crashed spaceship always makes people thinks of many scenarios like yours. I really like the way you think mate

4 example that foliage on the plain was done in PS?

Actually in this image everything is 3d but i used some extra texture images like rocks to cover the parts that were very VUEis
