LOL was going through your gallery, and was like Duuuuuuuuuuude.... There be a real man! He is like manly and muscular, yet he manicures his fingers.. How AWESOME is that.. It makes me happy to look at. (coughs) Sorry...

Anyway, I though this one was very well done, I get the sense that he is about to take somebody out. The veins in his arms and on his head seem faded. Perhaps he is starting to get really tense, and really angry about something. Red in his eyes is somewhat pinkish-red, I sense that he is really getting fired up, because the veins seem like they are just appearing and the eyes haven't reached that scary blood red stage. It is as if you caught him right before his about to explode. On the left shoulder I believe that is a scar, it looks pretty nasty, and a long with his attitude it tells me he can withstand anything. Awesome.

i think his beard looks super awesome, though. i would like to brush it, and keep it so pretty and clean, and i would braid it and curl it.

then he'd probably look like a pansy, but oh well. ^.^

You could let the hair shading on the beard run down a wee bit farther, I think you missed a spot on the lower right. The blue steel on the axe is well done, looks dull, but the edge could be shinier.

This is overall a good piece, and the bloodshot eyes are a nice touch.

That is definitely a commanding posture, pose, and presence. I love it! He looks like he was just seriously teed off and is walking right up behind someone with the intent of implanting that axe deep into said someone's skull. My only critique for this one concerns the veins on his arms. Usually you show bulging, popped veins, which seems natural for one with such a heavy axe and massive build. However, Murren's veins seem more like blemishes and veins due to their lack of definition. You don't have to blow them out of the skin, but just a little shading to show that they aren't flat would lend a bit of realism.

I love that ferocious look on his face, it's so well-done.

His left hand could use with a little work - it's proportioned awkwardly. I think the thumb should be a little more to the side.

That's pretty good! But you know, even something as simple as a used 4x5 Graphire drawing pad will add bliss to your life. Coloring with a mouse sucks!

I'm impressed! This is one angry dwarf, and you can really see it! I'm loving the vein-effect - it really adds to the tension.

I have to ask, because you seem really good at, is how you do textures like hair with the computer? I'm curious - perhaps if I ever want to practice with my program.
