You know something, with this whole Age of Mortals thing, the only thing that could make me happy about it is to make the dragons playable characters now.

Well, it has been awhile since I played a game that involved being a dragon or flying on one. The only one was lair and while the gameplay was okay the story was obvious. So ya there's a bonus.

But that's what made Krynn magical was Takhisis coming around to fuck up things and Paladine having to fix it. Now Takhisis is dead and Paladine is mortal.

I thought the whole thing with Dragonlance was that it had a single villain behind almost everything, which made it stand out against the other Dungeons and Dragons spinoffs. What are they gonna do now, turn Raistlin evil or something?

Yup, why in my AU of Dragonlance their both still gods and Paladin is Bahumut's son while Takahis is Tiamit's duaghter.

Actually, according to Jeff Grubb, who was the creator of both gods, they were in fact Bahamut and Tiamat, just called different names on Krynn.
Which is why the Istar names for Paladine and Takhisis are Tii'Mhut and Bah'Mut.
A subtle hint as to who they really were. Until the stupid War of Souls retconned them. Actually, they were retconned in Dragons of a Summer Flame, if I recall as well.
I tend to follow the 2nd Edition Dragonlance lore for both Paladine and Takhisis.

Yea, I stopped raiding in Cata, and froze my account for Skyrim (and soon SWTOR), so when I saw that this is how they were ending Cataclysm, I facepalm'd so hard. As someone who killed Arthas and Illidan, this was a major disappointment.

Sounds to me like your just mad because your favorite dragon aspect got killed off. Seriously, you must be pretty clueless if you didn't expect deathwing to die from day 1, he showed no sign of sanity, and we were shown no sign of him regretting what he had done, he had been driven completely mad by the old gods power. There was no way he was going to be "redeemed". Neltharion. Had. To. Die. Its as simple as that.
To the dragon aspects losing there immortality, take this is as blizzard trying to be as canon as possible in closing the era of warcraft thats constantly dealing with them. Opening paths to new stories. The alliance horde war is definitely not dried up like some people are saying. Its barely been touched on at all from a story standpoint.
You can be mad if you want to, but don't blame blizzard for doing what the majority of the warcraft community expected to happen.

I knew he was going to die. I'm sad he was not redeemed, but I knew he was going to die.
The tacked on ending after the death is what made me pissed. He exploded into sparkles for that.

Actually I think alot of ppl would love to see art of your versions of the other four aspects since you already draw Nel so well or a your version of the ending XD
would've been awesome if Neltharion had a small small part of him that was still good, especially since 1 black dragon was able to not be corrupted which suggests it would have given him a chance. Even if he ended up shedding his form in azeroth but could live within the emerald dream. It would've given Ysera more parts in the game since everyone else but her has had its chances to shine 6_6

Well, the story Romancing the Coffer actually says that he did have a part of him that was good and Alexstrasza and Ysera managed to figure out how to bring that out in order to save him.
