Description
An entry in a contest here: fav.me/d7o7iigand the sixth in my series of reference drawings.
(No, it's not Yuri Lowell with a laser sword XD )
This is the first time I've been able to do a decent city background, so I'm pretty happy to see some progress there. The machine is just something I made up.

I think this thing should have been in GGO.

Indeed, if only to get the events of the arc outside of just the tournament. I hoped they'd show some of the actual game too. Thanks!

This is beautiful! A well deserved first place! Congrats! The lighting and the machine are really cool! (And I think it's funny you compared him to Yuri because now that I think about it, he does kind of look like him, haha.)

Aww, thanks a lot! It came together better than I imagined it would. The machine is based on a body type I made up a long time ago and I really like using it.
(Indeed, it occurred to me that I had several Tales watchers who were likely to wonder what Yuri was doing with a laser sword, so I thought I'd better say something. )

Thanks! That's great to hear! (This was so much easier to do than what I'm drawing now. D: )

Thanks man! I'm glad it worked out so well!
(You can tell I was kind of using stuff from Artisan's titan machine huh?)

Haha I figured I should mention it since I do have watchers that have seen my Vesperia art and may not be aware of SAO or at least what Kirito looks like in the sequel.
(I don't see ANY errors in your English.
)
Thanks!

Thanks! I actually did work on that quite a bit. I kept moving Kirito around in the foreground.

Yer talent should be illegal. O_O This is amazing. Words cannot express that enough, my friend.
I give up xD

Thank you!
Please don't do either though. (Ban talent or give up on drawing.) It's really thanks to the reference series that things have come out so nice lately. Trying to emulate the general appearance of something really good does seem to work extremely well, even it's something you're sure is way beyond what you can do.

Oh my god this looks amazing! Stunning composition, and the sword effect along with the light from the machine, just perfect!
The background buildings looks amazing too, that is more than decent
A great, great work!

Thank you so much! I did find that with the city background, a bit of blur, even if it's just a tiny bit helps so much. 0__0 It really eases the viewing process since all those little details give the brain too much to take in all at once. The light from the sword kinda doesn't make sense with the motion, but it just looked better that way. XD
I was astonished how quick this one came together when I first started drawing it. I guess I gave it plenty of time to age in my mind before then, so it worked out.
