Aside from the glaring observation that Sonic just made a big mistake, this page feels very... empty. The background is pretty featureless. A cracked building with a window at the very least would have been better for the scene, but there's just plain brown with a few scratches. Yikes.

Lately the series has taken a very heavy toll on me-- and even though it appears visually different, the fact that haku drew this for me has helped lessen this burden. Thanks to adult life and everything else, not everything I produce will be like Issue 7. I do agree that I should have drawn in the missing, blank background, but I just didn't have time. It's a struggle really ha ha
I just wanted to take a break for once, you know? It's just a fan comic, after all.

yeah, and is it just me or does Zielo look pretty plain this time around, in earlier issues he looked like an unholy abomination but now he just looks angry, no transformation, no special effects,and no groundbreaking feat. It's just anticlimactic

Don't forget the pencils are being done by someone else. For a moment like this where things suddenly get very serious, I agree there ought to be a change in design--just subtle enough for us to catch, but not necessarily glaringly obvious.

yeah, like say bulging veins, red eyes, any real anger visual cliche would do nicely. Just something to add more suspense or make Zielo more intimidating. Sonic is getting the crap kicked out of him even with shadow and silver's powers, this is a true display of Zielo's strength, this is when you really gotta start busting out special effects and make the scene come to life
