Hope can do a lot, I myself am drowning in depression but I have not offed myself yet because I have hope. I hope that things will get better soon and I'm doing my damned hardest in order for it to get better soon and that is what hope does. Hope is a ball of light in a sea of darkness and it can give you strength in a time of need. Hope in itself won't do anything if you don't act upon it. It's a bit like faith in religion. You have a test, and you haven't practiced, but you have faith you will make it, you fail the test because you didn't practice but only hoped you would. If that is what's happening then hope won't do shit, hope helps keep you going until you yourself overcome fears and/or difficulties on your own. Hope is kind of like a good luck charm, it's there because you have faith in and/or hope it'll give you good luck but in the end you have to practice for anything to go well.

Lol yup. That and I can't spell very well, making the words even more screwed up. What you said is quite true actually. You canbhave hope for something, but hope alone will not work. Not sure exactly if silver is confused about shadows power, because he knows that hope alone won't work so he thought about saving sonic and then thinking that it really is just a ball of hope when shadow said that they should do nothing.
