How tragic to start out with half of your soul being taken away then slowly rot.
What if a person who knew half of their soul was taken and when process starts they are aware of what is happening to him/her and feel their soul rot away slowly but painfuly and he/she can't get help as the person tries but cant control themselves and are suffuring internaly and well physicaly. I shudder at the thought.

If you think it's fun to voice act for him, imagine writing his character. Every time I write or draw him, I fan girl a little inside because hot damn man!
Also the soulless concept doesn't apply to the triple S since they got no hairy god influence, (plus they got both halves of their souls..for the most part). I think it's gonna be realllly badass when they tap more into their god power, especially now that they know more about it!

We'll get to that, but technically their soul is sort of "rotting", but not in a way you're thinking. A soulless obviously has _a lot_ of Zielo influence.
Also Blaze just explained a few pages ago that they aren't missing half of their soul, which is a very big identification of a soulless.

This is just a guess, but I don't think that half of their souls are missing/stolen. Rather they could be dormant or locked away to to a tragic event that happened in their life.
Example:
Sonic had to watch his dad killed in fount of him as a child.
Shadow had to watch Maria sacrifice herself to save him.
Silver, from the looks of it, had to struggle to survive his whole life.

So, the Soulless they slaughtered with their then-newfound godly powers were at Stage 3.
And regarding Sonic's friends and family: Bernadette (Sonic's mother), Knuckles and Amy were last seen at Stage 1, and Tails at Stage 2. So there is a hope of saving them.
