Because there have been some people who asked how to add gallery CSS i made this simple hm... tutorial/walktrough today in between. Hope i didn't miss anything *is a bit hectic*Tell me if it's usefull or if there is something wrong. Or if there is something else you want to know about gallery CSS stuff.

No, gallery modifications are limited to the folders. They made it this way, to keep at least a bit of dA structure and to avoid that the galleries get totally messed up that way - in case someone uses too flashy colors etc

But that would be for journals not for galleries right?
And there is nothing that will make it impossible. You need a repeat-able background image (in your case the lines should work without problems) and some images for the rounded corner box (help for that can be found in my CSS guideline)- other than that it's just plain CSS adjustment.
My templates are in my gallery. Often together with the matching journal CSS.

I would of course have them saved as seperate images and have the background as a more repeatable pattern, but is that something you can help with? I may be willing to pay you depending on how much we're talking.

Tbh i have no idea what kind of help you expect. You are just saying that you need help, but don't tell me with what exactly.
Do you need help with the complete code(or is it more that you want me to code it)? Do you just need help with code snippets, because you started already? And so on. I can't help you befor you tell me what kind of help you want.
And i don't think that you are really willing to pay me, but we can still talk about that when i know what kind of help you want.

Er sorry,
I just need you to code it. I'll give you all the images for it, just make it look like that picture and have it so if I want to add images it'll auto center, auto-thumbnail, and auto rounded padding it. I also would like it if at the bottom we had the images of my friends or members be thier actual gifs or images.

Hm ok, but my price for coding starts with 20€/Euro and gets higher depending on how difficult your layout looks like.

Alright, well I'm located in the US but Paypal has some sort of conversion thingy right. I'm fine with that since I thought I was going to pay close to 100 up front.
Ok so I think the best way to talk would be through AIM or Messenger, that way we don't have to wait.
The way I pay for things with paypal is I pay half once we have the game plan down, then the rest comes after its done. Sound good? Let me know what your preferred method of Messenger is. Your welcome to make a fake account for now if you don't want me to have your personal one.

It's a flash application and nothing to download(that's just something dA offers automatically).

Isn't there a way to add CSS to the whole gallery and not just the folders? Or maybe remove the gallery and leave the folders with the CSS design only?

No, you can only change the folders and use unique thumbsnails for them, nothing more is allowed.

About your "Orange Mountains" CSS: perhaps you should make the colour of the journal text lighter? Although it's still readable, I think it would look a little better.

Gallery CSS has more restrictions and you can't change too much. So the code is still the same, but your possibilities in changing the layout are more limited
