Description Paint/Conversion/Photo: Myself
Counts As: Dante.
Keyword: Blood Gears (successor chapter founded in the wake of the Devastation of Baal.)

While I don't mind using some of the other characters' models when fielding them I just HAD to do my own Chapter Master. I never liked Dante's model. Finally, I have someone other than Mephiston to field and slaughter with. Conversion was done with the Sanguinor's jump pack and wings (metal), Sanguinary Guard body, shoulder pad, and axe, Death Company shoulder pad and inferno pistol arm, and a Grey Knight head.

EVENTS:
Week 1 entry into the EoT Endurance Marathon.
Won a Bronze Metal in the 2013 Master Series Open painting competition at ReaperCon.

is it better to use a gw basepaint or just a generic acrylic paint?

I prefer Army Painter myself. GW Chaos Black spray works well but its expensive. I've never had a positive experiences with generic acrylic spray but I know a lot of folks who swear by them. Best bet is to experiment and find what works best for you.

I just bought a dark vengeance stater,
and I was kinda thinking if its just better to brush the base coat for the miniatures. thanks for the advise by the way.

I totally agree, I hate the Dante mini. I converted an Astrorath mini to use for him myself. I like what you did here

thanks! I went through about every head/helmet in my bitz box before I settled on this one. I almost didn't use it but once it was painted and glued on I was very pleased.

Yeah I don't get why Dante doesn't have a relic jetpack like the Sang Guard and what not, he'd totally look cooler.

This guy totally takes the cake tho
