Description
Chromia is a modified TFA Blurr with a remolded head and shoulders/front end. Her headdress sticks out the back in homage to her G1 soccer-mom-minivan alt-mode.I kept the Elite Guard faction symbol because a Chromia who outranks Ironhide is excellent. Before anyone asks, I won't be trying to make a custom figure for him until we get that Cybertronian-mode Ratchet Hasbro promised, and find out whether or not an official version of Ironhide will actually be released.
EDIT: I was never completely happy with the glare-heavy main photo on this poster, which, seeing as it's my most viewed piece, was an issue. No more! Chromia passed 1000 views a little while ago, which was a good excuse to swap in a better picture. Enjoy!

sweetness, but the head looks a little rough, but I can't complain, since if it was my hands doing it you wouldn't be able to tell it even was a robot head. Or a head in general lol

Excellent modding, again. I didn't realize Blurr's wheel hubs could be sanded down that much. (Hmm... now I see potential for some OCs- if me with a sander and paint weren't a completely laughable prospect, that is.) Oh and you probably know this already, but thanks to Comic Con preview panels it looks like we are getting an Ironhide.

The shoulders are actually hollow. Once I had each of the halves unscrewed and apart, a scroll saw took off the excess plastic, then I filled in the ends with putty and smoothed the whole thing down with some sanding paper on a rubber sanding block. They're made from hard plastic, so I wouldn't recommend trying to do the whole thing with a sander. Either way, you definitely need to take out the screws, because you'll be doing away entirely with the one closest to the front on either side.
I'm hoping we'll see that Ironhide at retail; the new head mold looks really nice. It always makes me nervous when they show something in the development stage like that, though. Fingers crossed!

New Hasbro panel at ComicCon today revealed that they ARE going to be retooling Cybertron-mode Ratchet as Ironhide. Yay!
