Description
This is my fave Autobot of all time. He never got a figure outside of G1 and that P'ed me off to no end. I decided to update Kup into a TFA form using a TFA Cybertron Prime. Primes body was befect for his Alt mode but his head lacked what I needed to give him the old guy look. I took Ratchets head and reworked that sucker like no tomorrow. He has been given a new jaw his trademark helmet and even a nose! I opted to keep all light piping in him since the glowing blue eyes fit the old guy. Finally I decided to give him a fitting weapon. The gun of course was a no brainer but I also gave him a weapon to suit his stature in life. I used Primes axed and altered it into a Cane that can also be used to clobber Deceptibrats.Hope ya like the old guy cause as of now he's my personnal fave!

IT'S ABOUT TIME! He is my all time favorite TF, Grumpy, Irritable and Mean but in that "Been there Done that" attitude.
He needed a good translation into figure since the only one worth buying was a G1 and Hasbro really dropped the ball on him.
I'd consider comissioning you to make one for me. to mimic the G1 figure color scheme.

Want to keep him looking G1 like yep with a mix of TFA vibrant animated color. Dark and ritty doesnt make for a good animated piece IMO.

What type of paint do you use, out of curiosity? The acrylics I use on figures never seems to bind properly. >>;

I use Citadel acrylics and Vallejos. They are a higher quality paint and normally hold up quite well. I do like to use krylons as my base coats.

It's definitely a great piece. With a more realistic head sculpt, I could see this as a Classics Kup.

that is EXCELLENT! i really rather like the use of Cybertron Primes bod for this. lol, i always thought that Ratchet would have been good, i mean he was practically Kup as it is but this i think works much better.

As far as Pax goes I'll probly never make one cause I see him as more than just a Kup repaint. Lots of the stuff I do has to look to me as well as the public!
