, hahahaha ... thanks for the comment..
it had some joints and it was able to move if you moved it (no engine or any self moving parts) , until it fell .. and broke apart back to the original pieces..

WOW. You did a GREAT job here.
I liked a lot ^_^
A long time I try to do something like that to, but All I could do was a warrior with spare parts and a dragon with a computer case.
Could you take a look and tell me what you thinkΒΏ?

That is just an amazing peice of work. You should be very proud. Wow... If you ever make more that you wouldn't mind parting with, I bet a bunch of computer/electronics and other electrical nerds out there would pay alot of money to have something like that on their desk.
Making this can be like the taxidermy of the electronical world. Making figures out of past dead machines that people really loved, like computers and such. You could make a really buisness out of it, or atleast killer cash on the side.

hahaha taxidermy .. i never thought about that.. that is a great idea, i never thought about how much people get attached to their propetry.... that is a great idea..!
the whole "re-configure" idea came to me when i was visiting a friend of mine in a computer lab, there is an enormous quantity of unused electronics that are tossed... i even had allot at home... so i though why not recycle them or do something useful out of them,.. and that was a result..
i might make some more.. i just need more time and parts..
thats an awsome idea you got there!!!! i might use it !
thanks for the comments and shareing your thoughts with me!

I'm glad you like the idea, I got it on the spot as I was looking at it. I think you could make a decent profit, or atleast enjoryment out of doing that to peoples electronics. I know I was personally sad when my CD player finally died. It was going to happen, because it was a cheapo 12 buck CD player, but now I don't ahve any form of music when I am working. So I kinda miss it.
Though some people get so attached to things, Computers esspecially, and they even name it as say if it's male or female. (Females usually live longer, so that tends to be popular in trying to get things to last. They do that for Cars atleast)
Would you mine other people trying doing things similar? If I can't fix my CD player, I think instead of throwing it out, I would like to make it into something now that I saw your work. Do you mind?

i've just thought more about the idea of turning loved items into new ideas, and it is a guinious idea! i dont know if might make money out of it.. one needs to be famous before people bring him their old emotional items, but i still might make more of thoese electronic stuff and maybe sell them..
no i dont mind , you can do what ever you like with your stuff, its not like i invented recycling..
let me know how it goes !?
by the way this robot has a name also.. its Harris....

one of my friends is a computer technician, and he work in a lab. one day i went to visit him and i saw all this electronic junk , old stuff and circutry that doesnt work, and the idea poped into my head.
i started building a skeleton first, so that it will be strong and balanced. and after i had my skeleton and a rough shape i started putting the efforts to details.
its about 40cmX40cmX50cm its kinda bigger and more impressive in real life.
i wanted to make it light up, and i even made a place for battaries, but all the LEDs i have collected got lost in the huge pile of junk, so i gave up the idea. instead i made it turn and some joints can move.
its standing on its own 2 feet..
thanks.. start collecting junk, its messy and takes a while but its worth it.

mmmm, i think i might in the future, although im going to need to stack up on more parts...
i think the next one i will build , will not be in a humaniod shape, maybe a spider like kinda robot...
but i still have time to think about that.
for now im working on a glass jar to put this baby in, so it wont catch dust and people wont break it because some parts of it are allitle fragile.

Hehehe, has a cellphone chip on his right nipple. Yo but foreal, this is really nice job, not only U make NICE renders of robots, U also make models out of other electronics. I see robotics in your future...

hehehe, teminator song playing!? thanks dude, i dont know what frew means, im guessing youre question was if i planned it before i made it? i had a general idea of what i wanted it to look like in my head, but i didn have it figured out down to the lower detail.
i sorta wanted it to look strong, but not simetrical, and with a broad chestplate, and with a narrow longs head , like Alien.
glad you like it
