GLaDOS Potato Plushie I made for my Chell cosplay. I eventually want to add nails or something, but for now, I'm happy with how this came out since this was more-or-less an inanimate object and I haven't made many of those at all.
I plan on making my costume will be convertible so it can be either Chell from 1 or 2.

I got it from build-a-bear workshop, so it's not the best, but it did what I needed it to do ^^

Actually, I bought a voice box from Build-a-bear for 8 bucks. They haves ones where you can custom record voices. I went to the Portal sound board and recorded from there.

Yes! I think you're supposed to use them to say "HAPPY BIRFDAY, MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU SOMETIMES" but I thought it would be better in a sadistic AI that wants you gone.
I still wish they'd left whatever plot had her saying "No, I don't want this Mr. Johnson." Probably about being turned into a killer computer.

I quite like the fact that they didn't include her objection to the whole process - it was a little bit squick, and put GlaDOS is an emotionally distracting light. I think it was much better for the player to object to Caroline's fate personally just by hearing all the audio about Cave making the order on her behalf, and there being no record of the objection you're sure she must have made.
That way, you're forced to have the emotional reaction for her and feel even worse that she wasn't recorded as expressing herself, plus, it has you sympathising with GLaDOS even before you realise it! It gets you more invested than if you'd just been listening to her cry out, if you see what I mean.
But, enough writer talk, sorry. It's a fab plushie. :3 Also, I love that 'Mommy and daddy love you sometimes', that out to be on a real greetings card!

ah! I see what you mean. Mostly I heard a friend say that Cave Johnson had some lines cut that were too risque and I was wondering if they were related. I love horror things, so I got to thinking, but you're very right. This would be like if Darth Vader fell to his knees and shouted NOOOO when...oh wait.
I do like how they didn't overdo Caroline and let the gamer do most of the thinking on their own. Yay for trusting your audience to fill in the blanks.
This ought to to be on a college card "Mommy and Daddy love you sometimes. The sometimes being when you ask for money or do something stupid." Also, a talking Turret is soon to follow this >:3 and by soon, I mean commissions can wait, I need this bad boy in my life RIGHT NOW.

It'd be nice if you put something next to it so we could see the scale! After all, PotaDOS is quite small, but here it looks so big!

I didn't think a 30 sec youtube vid would be that much of a problem :C but no worries! Once my Portal gun comes in the mail, I'm so gonna post pictures of the GLaDOS potato with it

Unfortunately, it's not the length of the video that's a problem for my computer. It's the fact that it's a video, and not a still image. It just refuses to load things like youtube or vimeo, et cetera.
