Description
Oh Yes! This is my great friend Dustin at his very happiest!Today my wonderful friend invited me to join him
in his "element" for the first time! Down-Hill Mountain Biking!
This is Dustin performing one of the many dangerous
fast jumps on this long down-hill trail at an area called
"The Tree Farm", here in Washington State... Today,
I realized what an awesomely skilled Mountain Biker that
Dustin is! He was kind enough to let me use one of his
Custom Mountain Bikes, called "The Big Hit"! He carefully
instructed me what to do and what to watch-out for.....
I may get into this....to a lesser degree of course!
I used the brakes hard all the way down and "walked"
the jumps. He goes down "full-boar", fast as he can....
Jeeeze, I had no idea how difficult this sport is, until
I sorta tried it! Dustin showed me a fun day! This is why
He's in perfect physical condition! He makes this look
so easy. IT IS NOT! Thank you Dustin for the fun afternoon!
As fun as this is, it scared the piss outta me!
Please see his site (dustin-diedrich) here on DA for a
few more photos of him on this treacherous steep trail.

I showed Dustin, (the guy on the bike), your funny, funny
comment! He really got a "kick" out of it! So did I!
He's really into movies like that! So am I!
My "timing" took 4 times to get that shot! Good-ol' Dustin
had to run back up the hill and do it again....

Well, I took another look at it.....I'm ugly as hell!
Remember, I said "I may"....I like the one where I'm
playing the "Tower" organ better. I'll post me with
the bike as a regular "deviation", but NOT as an ID...
Thanks for being forceful!

Well...yes! You are young and hansom....I'm "over-the-hill" and fat!
However, I'm posting that photo now! Because of you! But NOT as an ID!
Can't believe I'm doing this.....If I loose "watchers". It's your fault!

Wow, thanks much Ethan! Too bad the bike and it's rider
is a tad blurry. He was moving so damn fast, I kept
hitting the button too late! The poor guy did this four
times for me......he he he

haha nice. Well it's certainly a nice shot and well worth the work. I would love to be able to edit this photo and see what I can do with it.

Thanks. That's actually me behind the camera snapping the shot
but it's Dustin's fancy "Pentax K7" camera! When he brought me
home, he down-loaded that photo for me on my computer....
I'd like to see you with with a camera like his! You can see
it around his neck on his deviant ID photo, on dustin-diedrich...
What's funny is I took that photo with my Cannon G9, an older
version of your G11.
I told Dustin about the Camera you told someone, that you are
saving-up for and he told me to tell YOU that it's "excellent"!
His Girlfriend has that very Camera!...KX or something?.....

A Pentax eh? those I hear are amazing cameras. and yea the Pentax K-X is the newest of the line in the Pentax K series (and coming in colors other than black is cool too). It looks amazing and is supposed to be a really good affordable DSLR

Yeah, a "Pentax K-7" is the the one Dustin researched To death, and obtained...
Yes, the "Pentax K-X" is the one he endorses. He got his Girlfriend a "white" one!
What's cool too, is that Dustin's fancy K-7 can use the lenses for the K-X, and vice-versa!
He says the "K-X" is easy to use. Yup, "The K-X" IS the one he told me to tell you to get! Whew.....
I think we're getting "K'd" to death!

Thanks Steve, Well, I guess you're a wild man too!
It is dangerous, a guy could get badly injured doing this stuff!

Love the photo, very dramatic. I admire anyone who can do stuff like this, because I certainly can't. Very impressive. I'd like to see a photo of you having a go.

ha ha, thanks Adam. Well, Dustin is a very impressive dude.
He's been doing this half his life! He's very confident.
I may re-post another photo ID showing me holding a
mountain bike...I really had no business trying this!
That's all we need: An old fat guy on a mountain bike!
I must have looked stupid. Dustin was nice to not laugh out loud.....

Thanks but, I'm aware of my limitations.
One needs to be in top physical condition to do this stuff!
And I am not! When you start, you need to hike up this steep,
treacherous trail with a bike! That's really great exercise!
I took my time...Dustin runs up the thing. That's mostly why
he's in great physical condition! I thought I was going to
pass-out......
I noticed that when he's "flying" down the hill, he's standing
up on the pedals, in a "crouched" position, leaning forward,
all the way down so the bike can do it's thing
on the bumps.....I tried doing that for a few yards. It's a strain
and it was difficult to keep my balance, and it was quite painful.
And, it's helps to be young, Dustin's 20, I'm 54! Great excuse...yeah?
