Description
I was doodling the Luchs, which happens to be one of my favourite light tanks and wondered what it would be like as a tank destroyer... Welp, ta daa!Related content

Looks like a mini E-100 if that casement could rotate... yikes. It could use the Hetzer derpgun for the lulz

Pretty neat design, I really like it.

What would the gun calibre be?

Most likely the 75 L/48, that's what we all seem to have settled on xD
I wouldn't mind the L/50 as an upgrade though, I'm not sure how we could fit it in the casemate D:

Man I'm so in love with this design, I'm seriously thinking about modifying a Panzer 2 Luchs scale model into this...
Would you allow me to?

That would be incredible! I love scale tank models, even though I've never gotten round to building one myself - yet. Seeing a Jagdluchs (even just a scale-model) in real-life would be crazily awesome!Β Β Β Β
Now we just need someone who could make a life-size moving oneΒ Β

I asked in the model shop I usually buy in and the shop keeper (who usually knows a lot about tank kits) says there is no 1:72 Luchs kit...
So we can only hope that some papercraft kit pops up or one of the companies makes a model.

Bugger, it would be a lot of work to modify a normal Pz ll kit wouldn't it? Oh well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes up~

I found an affordable model kit online ( www.modelltrans.de/artikel/ind⦠)
I still have lots of other kits sitting around that will be worked on first but when I buy new ones this will have highest priority!
Conditions with this company seem good too, order is on account so no dubious internet deals with the chance to spend money but don't get wares.

Nice find! I added a couple of roadwheels and lengthened the chassis in the drawing, but it should look alright with or without that modification xD
Actually, I'm tempted to buy this kit myself... I love the Luchs :>

Oh I didn't notice the chassis mods... I will see if I will do that in the model too...
Also, I found that the site says shipping is only inside Germany... Β I mean potentially I could buy another kit and send it to you if you really want it.
But I need to check if they have them in stock, I already sent an email.

Ah, don't worry about sending one - I appreciate the thought though xD (Will I regret saying that one day? Arrgh)Β

FINALLY I got a 1:72 Luchs, from this site: www.wsw-modellbau.de/
(link to kit: ncwebshop.de/epages/ncs2444251β¦ )
So once I get my current project list done I will start on the Jagdluchs.
I will probably try to make a non-permanent conversion, something to put in that hole with something to keep it from rotating.

A non-permanent conversion, sounds interesting - Ah! That model looks great! It'd be a pity to hack it up to fit a casemate on, so go for the non-permanent version in my amateur opinion xD
Because later, you'd be able to make the Luchs <3Β
Thanks man, I'd actually completely forgotten about this, embarrassingly. Have fun with it, and I wish you luck

"Hacking it up" would be pretty hard too because it's massive resin. Also pretty heavy for it's size, 20 grammes.

Yeah, the suspension is totally different and I doubt it would look good if I make it all custom.

Jagdluchs. For when you want to fuck up everything while going 60km/h
May I take a pick at that being some kind of 7.5cm gun, possibly the 7,5cm PaK 39 L/48 (the 7,5cm on hetzer)?
and i'm guessing an effective "turrent" armor of at least 60mm at the front?

I drew this about the time they released the E-25 - I really want one of those waffle-irons! xD
You'd be correct on the gun, the L/48 was the gun I was thinkin gof when I drew it

I have, but I'm a bit torn for time with exams coming up and an art folio to prepare. I did do a T95 Prototype but I haven't inked it properly - Not very happy how it's turned out, tbh
