Description
A Sonic SatAM commission for of Princess Sally preparing to make a dramatic escape from the evil Dr. Robotnik and his Swatbots. The situation seems hopeless, but Sally has one last trick to play...
This was a fun commission to work on. While Sonic commissions are my bread and butter, I rarely get any specifically of the SatAM cartoon. I've never illustrated SwatBots before and only drawn the original Robotnik once in this pic . I prefer to use Pat Spaz's artwork from the pre-#50 issues, because his drawings of Robotnik are far more impressive and menacing than the cartoon. The mad doctor has one of the most evil grins ever for an animated villain.

I agree. At least SatAM Robotnik was the most menacing incarnation of the character. Jim Cumming's voice sends chills down my spine.

Didn't this happen in the show? I mean... The show was dark as heck, wouldn't be surprised if there was an episode where Sally risked getting herself killed to end RobotnikΒ

I think it happened more than once. An early episode saw her captured by Robotnik and replaced with a robotic duplicate. She was also roboticized in Sonic's nightmare. Shades of Mecha Sally?
