Ha! Here's the real page 14. How many of you thought yesterday's page was the genuine article?............. Anybody?
Anyway, the journey continues down in Sourmerca as Max and Alicia travel to visit the Wolf Pack. I wanted to give more focus to Sally's parents in my comic and how they deal with their daughter being roboticized. This is something that was sorely lacking in Archie Sonic. Alicia barely acknowledged Sally's loss in Sonic #233 and nothing further came from that. I think that this event would affect Sally's family the most, so I wanted to portray how they cope without her. Stay tuned for more next week.

Look, i'm not one to give this sort of advice, especially for a zoomorph so high on his kingdom's hierarchy, but i just wanted to say that, if Rodimus became a Prime, then anything is possible... except bringing Sally back...

May I ask how long it took you to draw those trucks? I always have trouble on drawing the details or understanding/creating the mechanism of the mobiles.

Ironically, King Max being roboticized would be the SANE THING TO DO, since it would be what Chuck's invention was MEANT to do, and allow Max to be sane again.

Also with Sally realizing there's nothing about her that needs to be 'fixed.' As long as she has her free will, she is herself.

King Max seems to be a broken mobain at this point, but wouldn't be surprised after everything he's been put through after all these years, throughout the issues, and the current situation now, he's become a husk of a man.

Most of the sympathy is from what's happened to him over the course of the original continuity -> betrayed by the soon-to-be Dr. Robotnik, going insane and debilitated by the years in the Zone of Silence, getting poisoned by Patch and slowly losing his mind just when things were getting better for him... His lot in life seems to be "Fate's chew toy".
P.S. His post-reboot appearance is, um, interesting, to put it mildly...

I feel sorry for the former king. He's been trapped in the Zone of Silence, turned into crystal, his son fought a civil war against one of his top military officers, Naugus took over the throne from the son as well, his daughter having been ROBOTIZED and turned into nothing more than a killer robot, and to top it all off his mind has been manipulated by Naugus. It's no wonder why he seems so distant and broken.

Max has been through alot, Naugus did mess up his mind in the past before, old age and being trapped in the Zone of Silence for so long can mess him up.

It's too bad for King Acorn in the post SGW world the Nicole device would have been put in his hands so he can get memories of the pre SGW Sonic world like the other Freedom Fighters did.

I don't think it would have mattered. The memory-restoration gimmick was something mandated by editorial that Ian Flynn couldn't be arsed to capitalize upon and was quickly dismissed after a couple of issues. This was one of the many instances that alerted me to Flynn's terrible writing (which still continues to this day) and provoked me into launching this comic to fix the storyline.

Even Lupe, Dulcy, Conquering Storm, and Ben Muttski never got use of the memory restoration gimmick at all after ending up in the post SGW world at all.

Great job capturing his mental decline. His twenty yard stare, and simple refusal to accept the present but instead demanding the past. This hit home, as I'm dealing with this with my parents, and it kills me, but I'm glad you are writing this.

For all that he came off as a gigantic >bleep< in the comics, it's hard not to feel a little sorry for Max given what his life has been like.

Poor Max is breaking down from Sally being loss, while Alicia is trying to hold it together for him even as she is hurt just as much.

I was fooled for a couple of seconds by the way XD.
And also poor Max, he spent more time with Sally then his wife in recent years, and now Sally’s just gone. He can’t really cope with that thought of his daughter who never gave up hope during the war is gone.
