Looks like Geoffrey is making a house call to Dr. Quack this time. Naugus' grip tightens.
I want to clear something up regarding Geoffrey's behaviour. Some of you may be wondering why he doesn't immediately run for help after being abused by Naugus so often. As Naugus implied in SU #43, I believe Geoffrey lost that option after betraying the kingdom and installing Naugus as the new monarch. No Freedom Fighter will trust him. Even though Geoffrey has witnessed Naugus' twisted schemes and decried them, he has never expressed this to others. In public, Geoffrey remains Naugus' loyal servant and projects his master's power. It may be the only thing protecting him at this stage. The appearance of strength is all that Geoffrey has left when he has made an enemy of everyone in the kingdom.

Yeah... The only flaw with this line of reasoning is that a couple of armed guards isn't much good against a nanite-related disaster. If Quack asks those two what they plan to do in the event of his house imploding, they'd probably shrug and say they'll pull the bodies out after things settle down. Thanks guys.

Hershey better be alive! She and Geoffrey need to get back together, and I don't want them to die! Plus, they both need to get away from Naugus, permanently!

Well, at least Doc's family is okay. Hopefully Geoff can be as well some day.
Nice to see the Mes Braves make an appearance. It would be interesting to which side they stay once the poo really hits the fan. Though Naugus' emotion manipulation could be playing on them as well as others, so it may not really be loyalty.

Hershey was supposed to be revealed as still being alive/faking her death in the official comic series, but the idea was scrapped after the Ken Penders dispute. I don’t if glitcher will use this in his comic or do something different.

Geoffrey has been shown that he doesn’t like Naugus’ actions, but he doesn’t have a choice to stop working for him and has to serve him. Mostly he’s hoping that Sonic and his allies will stop Naugus.

I always figured that. After all, among the Felidae, changing your clothes changes who you are. They gave Geoffrey her clothes and that was all for Hershey the secret service agent. So, what about Hershey the seamstress or Hershey the Baker? So, maybe not so much faking her death but a large misunderstanding(since I doubt Geoffrey was fully aware of the Felidae's customs). Always expected her to come back.

It's been awhile since I read the comics, so I don't remember everything about the Felidae. It's still an interesting concept to see how Geoffrey will react to his wife not being dead. Even if it was a misunderstanding, he may be upset for not being directly told that she was still alive or Hershey not contacting him (if or when she was safe).

Hmm. It'll be interesting to see how far a paranoid Naugus can trust a Quack to treat him given how he's coercing the man now.

Man, with Dr. Quack's family under house arrest, the Secret Freedom Fighters may be their best chance to escape without bringing about Naugus' ire. And poor Geoff; he's been through so much and knows he probably deserves it after all he's done, but he wants to be better but feels it is beyond him. And that's something very common when people make mistakes; they feel they can't be redeemed so they stick with where they are as it is all they have left. Hopefully maybe he'll find a chance to be free and happy one day. Have a chance to do some real good.

It was said that they were planning on bringing Hershey back to so she's still alive but the lawsuit prevents that from happening. Maybe another chance here?

Ooof! With Dr. Quack's family under house under arrest of some sort, this has me wondering about what Naugus would do with Bernadette and Jules? o.O
Moreover, the Prowers! If I do recall, Rosemary has been there on a few occasions to remind Naugus that he doesn't hold complete authority to which Ixis has been rather annoyed with! Regardless, this is certainly interesting, keep up the great work!

Rereading that last panel made me realize that Geoffrey is completely sincere in not wanting Dr. Quack's family hurt... because he knows what losing family means. He lost his father in the Great War, and he recently lost Hershey as well.
The guy's done terrible things and has no excuse for them, of course, but I can't help but feel for him here.
